7/24/10: Adventure to a canyon w/ snakes ‘n’ stuff
really fun adventure, aside from nav nagging(navving?) the whole time. almost fell off a cliff while trying to take a picture, luckily nav grabbed my arm, which made up for all the nagging haha. rattle snakes were rattling at us the whole, and it was a sketch, so we cut it short but still got some good photos! shot with the slim devil and some kodak 400asa film
photooomph asked: Hi, i saw you posted on Ishootfilm about a brokey cosmuc symbol, whats wrong with it?
i’m actually not really sure. it’s when i go to advance the film it sometimes wont let me, it just locks up. and other times it does and it takes a picture but then you cant advance it anymore, you can pull the lever but it doesn’t advance
7/18/10: Adventure to Midget Forest
This adventure was just Naveed and I. it was in a little area behind his neighborhood, we had never followed the sewers very far before so we decided to follow them. we went past the end and found these really tall bushes, we were walking past them and i saw i little entrance so i went in it and it was like a mini forest! hence the name Midget Forest. It was really cool and the trail was connected through several bushes. Even though it was super hot out, the shade of the shrubs helped keep us cool. shot with my fathers old Ricoh FF-3 w/ four corner camera store brand 100asa.
p.s: dont sneak up on birds :O
7/9/10: adventure to a popular creepy people hangout area
Super sketchy adventure with Carl & Johnny… no joke, this was like rapist/druggie headquarters. almost falling in sewer water occurred several times during this adventure. it was also ridiculously hot out and snakes were trying to kill us but we fought through it and made it till the end, then we found out we couldn’t got out from the end of the path, so we had to walk halfway back yay:D mr. black devil came along for the ride paired with some centuria 100asa film!
7/2/10-7/5/10: a camping adventure
ok so this past weekend i was camping…in my friends backyard, still camping though, kinda. who said adventures had to be far from home? most of our(ben braun, ben kimler, naveed mahmoudian, josh lobb, and i)adventures during the 3 nights consisted of running around the neighbor hood and climbing on top of schools,…and lighting fireworks! it was great fun but really tiring. i also have a bunch of pictures on my point and shoot digital camera, so i will try to upload those to flickr tomorrow and give a link(: shot with golden half camera w/ kodak ektapress PJ100
note to self: turn off sprinklers before camping on your lawn or you will awake cold & wet:(
Excited
Just ordered a ton of film, and a few new cameras. and they are gonna arrive friday!!! i’m really excited! i really want some more film for my polaroid too, but it is all to expensive:( maybe i will try gar(b)age sales this weekend. more adventures coming soon as well!
6/27/10: Adventure to a mysterious concrete building
Ok so i will try to keep this short:) a while ago my friend found out about this whole area while looking at his house on google earth. so i go with him and we see a little concrete building way far off in the distance so we go over there only to find a big fence blocking us. then a few months later (present time) i remembered seeing one of those concrete v shaped walk way thingys (you know the things water go down?), so we went up that and found a way through the fence! i know it was so exciting!! so we go to see what is in this building and it is just a big empty thing. it was weird but super cool none the less! shot with some expired (7 years) film with my polaroid impulse.
